Nothing compares to proximity to the Lord; we seek Him intrinsically.
We look to the Psalms of David when we want a reminder of the loving character of God and the relationship that we can have with the God who is described as the Creator of the Universe. Whatever your spiritual, religious or social status may be, I think it’s safe to say that it’s a part of the human condition to desire closeness with God. Naturally, humans feel the void that comes with our own distance from God.
